The Japanese have something called Robot Girls Z, which seems to be a TV show, a comic and a game that features female characters based on robots from other Japanese TV series.

The characters fall into various 3-character squads, where Team M features the character X-San (Xさん), based on the Dai-X from X Bomber.

X-San has a definite appeal, certainly living up to the name 'Big Dai-X', and has made quite an impression on a number of Star Fleet fans in Japan...

 - After seeing a Christmas story in an Italian childrens' magazine, featuring various giant robots, including Dai-X, twitter user; kyano13neo had the idea of doing a nativity scene fan artwork featuring X-San.
 - Check out YmiscY's Star Fleet fan artwork page for another fan illustration of X-San.
 - X-San also has the dubious distinction of having featured in the doujin magazine; irrefusible GIRLS (断れない系GIRLS) by Torami Makoto (虎視眈々).

A lot of the fan artwork of X-San is quite racy, but I've tried to restrict what's shown here down to the more artistic images.

More recently; towards the back-end of 2019, Bonn-sama (ボン様); apparently based on the X-Bomber itself, was introduced.
Oddly enough, she seems not to have taken off in quite the same way as X-San.
