I happened to glance at my YouTube stats recently and realised to my surprise that it's been over ten years since I put up some of my early videos, which as you might imagine were Star Fleet related. Ten years. Wow. I think they were up on the site earlier than that, though. I stuck them on YouTube after the fact due to naivety on my part, as the site's bandwidth allowance got hammered!

Tell me all about that. X-Bomber the Game will be 15 years old this August.
We've come a long way since then, though. Bandwidth is something we never need to worry about again.

Dream big and bold and daring.

That sounds about right, thinking back I probably didn't have the equipment to try it until around late 2002 / 2003 and then they were put on the site directly. Ah, memories of finding an American VCR to pipe the NTSC US tapes out through a piece of kit to digitise them. It's funny, now the storage you'd need is trivial but back then I couldn't process much raw footage, and even once it was down to mpegs my hard drive was not happy with life! Tricky when you're on a budget!
