Happy New Year all, if a touch belatedly. I had to send Kirara round to my hosting company and we appear to be back in working order, I'm trying to establish what got broken. It's going to take them a while to get the stains out of the carpet...

Welcome back guys, it's great to hear from you.
It was touch-and-go for a while but we're back!
I've got to thank Gerard at Profprojects.com. He did an awesome job converting the database. I'd definitely do business with them again.
I'm working on a Star Fleet theme for the forum but it's not ready yet.

Greetings all. Applause please for Crash's rescue and upgrade efforts here. Oh how I wish Ikonboard hadn't been my original choice, but it was a loooooong time ago now! I'm sure Crash will keep the lights on, and I'm going to sort a redirect out for SFXB to bring people here.
What happened was that my hosting provider had been suffering attacks and decided to lock down insecure elements - such as dodgy old forums using SQL databases. Hence the forum dropped off the face of the Internet. I somehow managed to do a database dump for Crash which has been superbly converted onto this platform. Cracking job by Crash's contact.
So. On to the next decade! Cheers!

Ok, I think the redirect is now up and running, not sure if it will work with deep links but basic links to the forum should get redirected. Let's see how many find their way back...

That link works well.
I'm by no means sure that the syntax of the query-strings on phpBB matches up with Ikonboard. So I don't know if deep links will work.
We've got posts on this forum going back to 2001. That's before I even started working on my game.
No-one can criticise a choice of forum based on the options available back then.
I quite like the hack I did on the phpBB theme. I'm not finished with it yet. At least it got rid of those horrible rounded corners.
